Problem Statement

Business travelers couldn’t select seats & meals within our enterprise booking flow due to the offline process followed. This caused delays, manual customer support workload, lost revenue, and poor user experience across mobile & desktop. So the escalation began!

The solution was to create an efficient seat and meal selection flow, but our B2B platform faced unique challenges. So the team got together & joined the puzzle.

The solution was to create an efficient seat and meal selection flow, but our B2B platform faced unique challenges. So the team got together & joined the puzzle.

& Final Designs

After multiple iterations and quick tests, this is what we came up with! Every passenger is mapped to their seats. A quick yet intuitive motion is incorporated to help users identify passenger mapping. Rates are displayed and routes/layovers are clearly marked. Users can now add seats/meals to trips, edit them with ease and book trip/send for approval.

After multiple iterations and quick tests, this is what we came up with!
After launching the new flow, tracked NBV over 8 weeks vs 8 weeks prior. Fluid saw an increase of 25% in NBV with the introduction of this feature with no negative impact on completion rate.

Scaling for Future.

Improvements

Selection is a tedious process if 2 layovers and multiple pax. Considering our major use case was 1 pax - 3 pax, scope cut was made.

💫💫We hope to scale to remembering preferences and automatically suggesting the seat/meal maps, thus making the system intelligent! ✨✨ Users can change this map if required from their employee profile.
